Join the Shorewood Milwaukee River Cleanup

Looking for a rewarding way to spend time outdoors while giving back to your community? The Shorewood Milwaukee River Cleanup is the perfect opportunity! Hosted by the Shorewood Waters Project and the Shorewood Conservation Committee, this cleanup is part of the Milwaukee Riverkeeper Adopt-A-River initiative. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help maintain the beautiful trails and natural spaces along the Milwaukee River from Estabrook Park to Hubbard Park.

Event Details:

  • Date: Choose between Friday, July 19, or Friday, October 18—or sign up for both

  • Time: 9 am - 11 am

  • Meeting Location: Estabrook Park’s southernmost parking lot off Capitol Drive, under the tall tower

  • What We’ll Be Doing: Cleaning up the park, roads, and trails to keep our local environment pristine and beautiful

This hands-on experience is an excellent way for families, students, and community members to connect with nature while making a tangible impact. Come ready to explore and restore!

What to Bring:

  • Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes or boots suitable for hiking.

  • Bring your own gloves if you prefer (rubber gloves will also be provided).

  • All cleanup supplies will be provided by Milwaukee Riverkeeper.
