How Fox Point’s Beer Garden Took Root
New Baron Coop’s Taps
Fox Point teamed up with community-owned New Barons Brewing Cooperative in 2022, transforming Longacre Pavilion—the winter ice-skating warming house—into a lakeside beer garden on select weekends each summer. The village program quickly became a Friday-night tradition, pairing local craft beer with rotating food trucks and family-friendly live music. In 2024, most sessions ran 5–9 pm on alternating Fridays, with a handful of Saturday festivals—expect a similar cadence this year. Seating is limited; regulars bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets and let kids roam the adjacent green space.
Good to know
Longacre has restrooms inside the pavilion
Last call is 30 minutes before closing; carry-in alcohol is prohibited
Dogs on leash are welcome, and there’s usually water bowls for four-legged friends
Looking Ahead: Traveling Beer Garden Rolls into Fox Point
Craft beer also comes to Fox Point when the Milwaukee County Traveling Beer Garden comes to Fox Point and parks its restored fire-truck bar at Doctors Park from August 6–17, 2025 (weeknights 5–9 pm; weekends & holidays 11 am–9 pm). Expect Sprecher brews, root-beer floats, and evening live music—plus lake-view sunsets from the bluff.
With an early April start and beer gardens in the North Shore all summer long, summer 2025 is shaping up to be the best beer-garden season yet on Milwaukee’s North Shore. Prosit!
