Klode Park Beach

Location: Intersection of Shore Drive and Lake Drive

Klode Park Beach is a local favorite nestled on the north side of Whitefish Bay. With soft sand, gentle waves, and plenty of green space for picnics, it's ideal for families. The bluff area east of the playground is also the site of the annual Whitefish Bay Fourth of July fireworks.

Note: The beach is open to swimming but it is not equipped with lifeguards or a beach house for changing. Please check with the North Shore Health Department regarding bacteriological monitoring of the water during the summer months.

Big Bay Park Beach/ Buckley Park

Big Bay Park Beach in Whitefish Bay

Location: Big Bay Park and Buckley Park are adjacent parks located along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Whitefish Bay, just north of Shorewood off Lake Drive. They share a border and offer scenic views of the lake.

Please note that both parks are currently closed due to a sinkhole that formed at the entrance in June 2024. Repairs are underway, and the parks will remain closed until further notice.

Big Bay Park is an 8.7-acre park maintained by the Milwaukee County Park System. It features a short walking path and a scenic overlook of Lake Michigan.

Buckley Park, located at the eastern end of East Fairmount Avenue, is managed by the Village of Whitefish Bay. It offers a paved walking path leading to the beach; however, swimming is not permitted. Additionally, the park does not have picnic or bathroom facilities.

Doctors Park Beach

Just a short drive north to Fox Point, Doctors Park Beach is another spectacular family-friendly beach with a natural, secluded vibe.
